Steven H. Bernstein, President Founder and President of Total Management, Inc. since 1974. As President of Total Management, Inc., Steve is responsible for all of the companys operations, including generating new business, marketing, and supervising financial, administrative, operational and personnel functions for both construction and property management projects and for the company itself. Steve directs company project financial matters, including financial projections, budget development and contract negotiations; reviews the staffs day-to-day project management activities; and oversees the organization of corporate and project personnel and management systems.
Thomas C. Gavan, Project Manager Since 1990, Tom has served Total Management, Inc. as Project Manager and is responsible for the oversight of all aspects of multiple construction projects, including plan review, bids and proposals, budget development, cost analysis and scheduling, and project administration, including owner progress meetings, reports and correspondence. Tom also monitors and directs field operations and project safety.
Ralph E. (Smitty) Smith, Superintendent Since 1984, Smitty has faithfully served Total Management, Inc. as on-site field supervisor for our most important projects, big or small. In addition to on-site supervision, Smitty, a skilled carpenter, is responsible for safety of all carpenters and general laborers employed by Total Management, Inc. Smitty is responsible for coordinating and over-seeing all subcontractors work on the job site, preparing daily logs to document work progress and regularly consults with the Project Manager and Architect throughout the course of the project.
